    North Bend Plantation

    A James River Plantation built in 1819 for Sarah Harrison, the sister of President William Henry Harrison. The Federal and Greek Revival manor is furnished with Harrison family heirlooms. Self-guided gardens and grounds tours daily, group tours by appointment and special event holiday tours.

    Shirley Plantation

    The Shirley Plantation is a National Historic Landmark, and is recognized as an architectural treasure. Shirley was settled in 1613, making it Virginia's oldest plantation. Tours are available daily.

    Jamestown Settlement

    Relive the past and experience what it was like for the first settlers of America. A film starts your journey back and time explaining the hardships and processes of the first settlers. Board replica's of the ships that brought the first settlers over. Visit the re-created fort and discover how the colonists lived and worked. The Powhatan Indian Village has hands-on demonstrations of how Pocahontas and the Powhatan Indians lived.     James River Plantations - Civil War Trace

    Sherwood Forest Plantation

    Located 30 minutes from Williamsburg in Charles City, Sherwood Forest Plantation was the home of 10th U.S. President John Tyler from 1842 until his death in 1862. Known to be the longest house frame in America, it is over 300 feet long. Restored and furnished with Tyler's possesions, the house is surrounded by woods and six original outbuildings. Daily tours available.
